The Relationship of Volunteer Manager`s Reeducation and Their Competency

Abstract
This study was carried out for the purpose of observing the reeducation for volunteer managers and the extent of their competency the demanding of which is increasing more and more recently, and what kinds of affects the reeducation had given to their competency in the field of social welfare and volunteer service centers. The fundamental thesis of this study was that in the situation which professional discrimination or identity as profession and its growing-up system was not prepared socially and systematically, the reeducation for volunteer managers in the field would give the important affects on their competency. In order to carry out this purpose, surveyed with enquete against the all volunteer managers working in 247 place of volunteer service center all over the country and document analysis was got on the last 267 sheets which had been received as the result of post enquete. In the result of the survey, we could see that if only on the population-sociologically stabilized basis, having the more classified occupational discrimination, and the more experiences as volunteer manager and of reeducation, the more rich their competency would be. This study, in spite that expectations and demanding of expert volunteer service managing are increasing, while systematical studies concerning this comparatively are not enough, has concreticized the concept of professional competency of volunteer managers and has empirically certified the relation ship with reeducation, hereby has offered the basis of systematic and scientific theoretification of volunteer service management. At the same time, through the positive study on reeducation for the volunteer managers and professional competency, it has been able to check the reality of our country¡¯s volunteer service management and to give the energetic atmosphere of argument about volunteer manager¡¯s role and function as the professional ones.
